Each week, we introduce you to one of our fabulous employees here at thenewguys. This week we are chatting to H.
Hay-Ching Tang, Research Consultant/Assistant Biscuit Researcher
Motto: It’s never too early to snack.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Literally speaking: about 10 alarms spaced 5 minutes apart and a strong black coffee.
Metaphorically speaking: the chance to speak to lots of different people every day.
What is your favourite thing about working at thenewguys?
It’s such a supportive and friendly environment to work in - you really get the sense that we’re all in this together (HSM reference intended). I genuinely found everyone to be super welcoming from Day 1.
Who in the office is the best at Mario Kart?
I’m exercising my right to remain silent, but I’m definitely the worst
What do you enjoy doing when you are not at work?
I love going out and trying new things, and if it involves friends and food as well, I’m doubly happy.
What is your best advice for job seekers?
Don’t be afraid to apply for jobs even if you’re unsure at first - if you don’t try, you’ll never know.
If a movie of your life were to be made, what would the title be?
I’m not sure… but the soundtrack would definitely be “That’s Not My Name” by The Ting Tings
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Make sure your parents take plenty of cute pics, so you have a good one ready to pair with your staff picture for thenewguys website.
What would you advise new starters at thenewguys?
Don’t be afraid to get stuck in! - the more you do, the more you’ll learn.
