Key objectives

  • Provide their team of Business Finance Specialists with a healthy pipeline of new prospects, enabling them to exceed ambitious growth targets
  • Take the time to understand more about the businesses you speak with (how they work, growth plans, challenges, their experience of finance so far)
  • Identify the needs and pain points of customers quickly, and offer finance as a solution whenever relevant
  • Test new lead sources and data, as the front line of their new lead generation efforts
  • Cleanse cold data lists to eventually support the creation of future warm prospects
  • Follow up on targeted marketing campaigns, allowing them to judge the effectiveness of their customer nurture programme and other customer communications

What you will do

  • Contact and engage with their historic database of small business customers. These are customers who have previously interacted with them and enquired about finance
  • Become confident in articulating their proposition and service. You’ll undergo extensive sales training, to learn how to handle common objections through a mixture of theory and practical training
  • Build up extensive knowledge of business finance — you will learn about a variety of debt products and gain an understanding of the wide variety of lenders in the market
  • Cold calling warm leads
  • Work closely with the Business Finance Specialists, and learn useful sales tactics and techniques from their experienced outbound team
  • Play a key role in their customer nurture programme for prospects that do not immediately need finance
  • Book in appropriate and timely call-backs, and provide follow up information to those looking to explore finance in the future
  • Maintain accurate, current information on any prospects that you speak with in Salesforce
  • Monitor and identify trends that maybe useful to the wider business whilst inputting new or enhanced customer profile information into Salesforce

  • Ability to work well independently, to deadlines and under pressure, as well as collaboratively with the wider business
  • Ability to demonstrate a results-orientated work ethic with impeccable attention to detail; you’ll have the determination and drive to sprint every day
  • Experience within FinTech, high growth tech start-ups, banking or finance would be highly beneficial
